What is .in domain registration?

Registering a .in domain means paying to reserve a .in name for a set number of years, so you can use it for a website or email while you keep it renewed. .in is India’s country-code domain extension.

How do you register a .in domain?

Register a .in domain in seven steps in the Namelume cart:

1. Search for the name you want on the .in domain page. The result shows whether the .in domain is available, with its price.
2. Click Register next to the .in result. The button changes to Added and a View Cart button appears.
3. Open your cart and choose the term, from 1 year to 10 years.
4. Add hosting if you want it, or leave No hosting selected.
5. Enter your contact details: full name, email, phone, address, city, state, zipcode and country.
6. Enter a coupon code if you have one.
7. Click Proceed to Payment and pay in the Razorpay window with UPI, a card, EMI, netbanking or a wallet.

You can register a .in domain for 1 to 10 years. A .in domain is registered for a term, not for life. Each country-code TLD sets its own range: .in allows 1 to 10 years, and .co allows 1 to 5. Domains do not renew automatically, so you renew from your Namelume account, and the Renew option appears 90 days or less before expiry.
